Gentle Ealdor-Flower
--TSivia bas Tamara v'Amberview, O.L.

One cannot hold a sunbeam
One cannot catch the wind.
Yet all of us saw this and more
In Lauren's fairy grin.

A budding fighting flower
Strong in both word and deed.
She danced on field or in the hall
A damsel born to lead.

Her kindness lit the faces
Of all who knew her heart.
Exuberantly she inspired
All others to take part.

How quickly is a candle snuffed,
How fast the soul can cry.
How achingly a heart can weep
When joy itself has died.

Oh Lauren, gentle Ealdor-flower,
You've left us all too soon.
Now clouds obscure our shining sun
And darkness shrouds the moon.

Remember us, sweet Lauren
As you light our Northern Sky.
Your soul remains with Ealdormere:
Your mem'ry will not die.

Farewell oh fighting flower --
Your smile's our legacy.
As long as stars wink down at us
Forgotten you'll not be.

One cannot hold a sunbeam
One cannot catch the wind.
Yet all of us saw this and more
In Lauren's fairy grin.
